Elisabeth, I just wanted to tell you that I just read “Outside Looking In” and was deeply touched. It ministered to me at exactly a place that I’ve been seeking direction and peace about…and assured me of the eternal love and kindness of my Lord through it all. Thanks for being used by the Lord.
Dear Elisabeth,
“I’m with Jesus!” is what my heart is longing for right along with yours and that of the disciples… From “The Emmaus Road Adventure” by yourself.
You’re a wonderfully vibrant writer; I thought to encourage and congratulate you on your very attentive listening to His guidance.
I hope to reach your levels soon.
Blessings from South Africa…
Tee
Hi Elisabeth,
Just want to tell you that your nativity story really touched my heart. I found it more accurate and more passionate that the versions we are used to hear and tell.
May the Lord bless you,
Patrik
Dear Elisabeth,
I wanted to let you know how much your writings have encouraged and convicted me. My favorite is One Single Day. I’ve re-read it several times. So much wonderful truth is in it. Thank you for letting Him use you. I pray you continue to be blessed as you have graciously blessed others by sharing your experience and what the Lord has made known to you.
-Fellow Sister in Christ
So glad you’re “back”! Your writing is a source of Truth the Encouragement to me that spurs me on and up. Further up and further in!
Dear Elisabeth,
I loved your recent article for Boundless, “Something to Lose.”
I just turned 40 and recently entered a serious relationship.
Like you mention, I have found pursuing marriage at 40 less complicated than before, more open communication, less need to impress, and fewer guessing games. I’ve gained more understanding of myself and my non-negotiables, more experience with God’s guidance and my own intuition, and more discernment of the difference between infatuation and a good fit. As a result, I feel confident making decisions about marriage with dignity and confidence.
Thank you!
Jen
Hi Elisabeth!
I recently came across your article “When Hoping Hurts” on Boundless a couple of days ago, and I am so glad I did. You powerfully lay out the truths of God’s word and His promises for us that silence the enemy, and bring an expectancy for how God will move in our story. His heart is truly FOR us, and our hope is best found in HIM. Thank you for the encouragement to continue to run the race with perseverance.
Blessings on all that the Lord is calling you to in this season!
Your sister,
Kristin
Elisabeth, I very much appreciated the article, “What if I never had children”, as it’s a fear laying siege to my heart.
The phrase, “the lack of an identity I long expected to wear” caught me like a snare in a sweater, if I am not to be a mother – my longheld expectation – what am I to be? And behind that – what good am I to the church without this mantle? I’ve been blessed to be in the body of Christ as long as I can remember. But it can be a place of great loneliness and unbelonging as I don’t fit in with the elevated role wife and mother.
I’m praying that Christ shows to ways to spiritually mother me sons and daughters he brings into my life.
Until we meet – on this side or yonder,
Megan
Thank you so much, Megan, for circling back around to respond to my article! It means a lot. These days, I am finding great joy in the exhausting but deeply fulfilling task of mentoring, and I’m praying with you that you’ll find ways to mother spiritually.
